Think Institute Accepting Summer Applications Now

Gifted students interested in a challenging academic summer program should consider attending the THINK Summer Institute on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. This intense three-week residential summer program offers 60 exceptionally gifted 13- to 16-year-old students the opportunity to earn up to seven transferable college credits. Education Program for Gifted Youth Helps Children Progress at Own Pace

The Stanford Educational Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY), a computer-based learning program originated for gifted learners, is being tried in the regular classrooms of Oakland, California, with much success. EPGY, teaches concepts by tailoring itself to the needs of each student. As described at their official website, EPGY is described as follows:

American Association for Gifted Children

The American Association for Gifted Children is associated with Duke University, and advocates for gifted children through gifted education research, promotion of gifted education, and the award of scholarships. The AAGC publishes Working Papers to disseminate research information to parents and educators of the gifted.
